The Trail Riders

Art Gayton, Jr. – Drums

 Art began playing drums at age 4. He played in a rock band in high school. His musical influences included Buddy Rich, Neil Pert and “Animal” on the Muppets (which is why the band will not let him have a microphone!). 

In 1999, Art was introduced to Jerry and Anne Marie by a mutual friend, Harold Dawson (Sound Technician for The Trail Riders). With Art playing drums, it allowed Jerry to focus his attention on singing and playing the guitar. This was the beginning of The Trail Riders. 

His favorite artists today are Toby Keith & Travis Tritt. He enjoys bowling, race cars, and raising his son.
