The Trail Riders
Lou Laudate – Lead Guitar, Vocals
Lou learned how to play
guitar at age 12 and has been in various bands since he was 14. His early
musical influences were The Beatles and Alvin Lee of 10 Years After. Lou met
Jerry in 1989 at a 7-Eleven where they became friends as part of the “coffee
crew” who used to meet and have coffee on early weekend mornings. When Jerry
moved out of Naugatuck in 1997, Lou and Jerry lost touch until they ran into
each other at a local Blockbuster. Jerry mentioned he was putting together a
band and needed a lead guitar player. Since the first time Lou played with the
band, they have counted on his vast musical knowledge which ranges from
classical to rock ‘n roll. Each member knows if they can hum or sing what they
want Lou to play, he’ll be able to play it the way they want it! His favorite
musicians today are Brad Paisley, Brent Mason and Patty Loveless. He enjoys
writing music in his spare time and is the writer of The Trail Riders favorite
original tune, “Somewhere In My Heart”.
